I NEVER PLANNED TO BE A PHOTOGRAPHER — BUT HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED
If you told me a few years ago that I’d be running a brand photography and design business, I probably would’ve laughed.
For the longest time, I thought I was heading toward a career in social media marketing. I had been studying marketing for years — on my own time, between raising my kids and running my personal training business. I’d sneak in courses during naptime, stay up late reading articles, and soak up anything I could find about branding and strategy. I loved it.
Eventually, I decided it was time to go for it. I applied for a social media manager job I was really excited about — something that finally aligned with everything I’d been working toward.
But I didn’t get it.
And not because I didn’t have what it takes — but because they realized they didn’t have enough content to even keep a social media manager busy.
They needed a photographer instead.
At first, that stung. I felt discouraged. But then this tiny, unexpected thought crept in:
What if I could do that, too?
So I picked up a camera. At first just to see if I could figure it out. I started shooting anything and everything — experimenting, learning, creating. And honestly? I fell in love with it. The creativity, the storytelling, the ability to help people actually see their brand in a new way — it clicked in a way marketing alone never had.
That’s how Visual Identity was born.
Now, I get to combine everything I love — branding, marketing, visuals, storytelling — to help small businesses create an identity that feels like them and looks like the brand they’re becoming.
From logos and brand photos to social media templates and content, I’m here to help you show up with confidence and clarity online.
If you’re building something you believe in, I’d love to help you make it look as powerful and polished as it truly is.
